Saking ramenya dengan manusia jembatan ini juga di penuhi oleh bis-bis dan mobil pribadi yang di parkir di tengah jembatan ini. Jembatan yang telah berumur 17 tahun ini lambat laun akan tidak kuasa menahan beban yang ada di atasnya. Bayangkan kawan bis-bis yang bertengger di atasnya menambah beban yang amat berat bagi tali-tali baja yang menangung kekuatan jembatan ini.
Untuk itu , kita sebagai warga batam maupun kepri sudah sewajarnya untuk dapat menjaga dan melestarika ataupun memperpanjang ikon batam ini dengan aksi tidak memarkir kendaraan di jemabatan barelang tersebut. Aksi untuk penyelamatan jembatan ini dapat kita tularkan kepada masyarakat yang berkunjung ke jemabatan itu, untuk awalnya kita lakukan aksi ini pada diri kita sendiri. Dalam hati kita di tanmkan untuk tidak memarkirkan kenaraan jembatan ini.
Ayo kita semua untuk mejaga ikon batam ini, bila ikon ini hancur, mau memakai ikon apalagi kita?

Hal itu di rasakan oleh tim Dragon Boat Batam, menjadi yang tercepat di kejuaraan dragon boat tahun 2008 di Tanjungpinang. Piala Dunia Jules Rimet yang telah menjadi koleksi abadi negeri samba Brasil ketika berhasil menjuarai piala dunia sepak bola sebanyak tiga kali menjadikan inspirasi.Tim dragon Boat Batam juga telah mengabadikan Piala bergilir Dragon Boat kota Tanjungpinang ini, karena telah berhasil menjuarai perlombaan ini tahun 2005, 2006 dan 2008. Pemanasan dan peregangan tubuh yang tidak berlebihan ketika akan bertanding, kecerdikan ketika memulai start,kekuatan mendayung, yang semuanya di rangkum dalam kerjasama yang baik dalam satu tim sehinga menghasilkan Jawara. Teriak kemenangan untuk jawara saat ini, jawara selamanya sangat pantas bagi tim Dragon Boat Batam yang telah melakukan perjalanan menuju kemenangan.

Catatan Harian Nadya

Perkenalakan namaku Nadya Aisyah Gustirani, umurku baru 15 tahun kelas 1 SMU. Saat ini aku bermastun di kota Tanjung Pinang, pulau yang indah dengan sejarah kesustaraan melayu yang tinggi. Saat ini aku sedang menulis novel kelima, empat novelku telah beredar di Nusantara yaitu Kisah Seorang Bintang, Classic, Misi-Misi Cinta dan Jasmine. Kata ibuku bakat nulisku adalah anugerah alam, sejak aku SD aku telah suka menulis di buku tulis, novelku yang pertama Kisah Seorang Bintang yang merupakan kumpulan cerpen kutulis ketika aku duduk kelas 6 SD walaupun dicetak di buku kelas 1 SMP.Dunia penulis buku telah menjadi pilihanku untuk masa depanku, terlebih ketika aku menjadi peserta termuda dalam "7th Women Playwrights International Conference 2007" di Jakarta dan Bali. Penulis adalah pekerjaan seumur hidup, selagi bisa memgkhayal dan mengetik Penulis tidak akan pernah menemui kata "PENSIUN". Novel keempatku "Jasmine" telah terjual 1500 copy hanya dalam waktu empat bulan, hitung sendiri berapa royalti yang kudapat, jadi penulis begitu mengiurkan???Aku beruntung keluargaku mendukungku menjadi penulis. Segelas teh susu dari mama dan tekanan touch organ adikku, membuatku semangat untuk selalu menulis. Setiap aku membaca buku, di sekolah, di jalan, di mall, di rumah, mendengarkan musik selalu membuatku terinspirasi untuk menemui laptopku mencurahkannya dalam tulisan. Suatu saat aku akan membuat buku yang bisa menjadi legenda seperti Gurindam Dua Belas karya Raja Ali Haji yang tidak lekang oleh waktu itu.
